Royale Paints, Ghana, West Africa

Project info / Insight:
Introducing a premium paint brand designed and produced specifically for the West African market by Inesfly, a Spanish-based company specialising in innovative insect and vector control technologies. With an arm in Ghana, Inesfly develops and manufactures products such as insecticide paints, coatings, and repellents, using patented polymeric micro-encapsulation technology that delivers active ingredients gradually to help control pests and reduce insect-borne diseases.

Challenge / Idea:
The challenge was to create a distinct brand identity that would stand out from global giants like Dulux and Coral.

Design / Results:
I created a distinctive brand identity by infusing the brand with a strong African personality, using a historic pattern inspired by local culture, vibrant colours, and a simple yet memorable logo. I paired this with a powerful tagline, ‘your word, your colour,’ that connects deeply with the target audience, making the brand both relatable and personal. I used a typeface that features natural, flowing curved details within the characters to mimic the movement of painting.

To complete the package, I used bold and striking art direction that exudes confidence and an unmistakable presence. The result is a brand that’s instantly recognisable and highly effective across a wide range of mediums, from packaging through to advertising.
